Public data, checked and dated.

Each score is built from official statistics, public registers, open map data and Google's business listings. Every number shows where it came from.

Every number has a source and a date.
A 2020 dataset is labelled 2020, not today.
Missing data is shown as missing.
If we couldn't measure something for a block, we say so instead of filling in a guess.
Close calls are called close.
We re-rank the city 200 times with shifted priorities. When the top places swap around, we tell you they're tied.

Good questions.

Is the free version actually free?

Yes. The whole map, every city and every business type, with no account and no card. You only need an account for Plus, which saves your places and suggests new ones.

What does "top 5%" mean?

We split the city into small blocks, about 130 metres across, and score every one for a business type. A top 5% block scores higher than 95% of all the blocks in the area. The score weighs things like how many people walk past, who lives and works nearby, the competition and the rent, in the proportions that matter for that business.

Which cities do you cover?

Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Uppsala and 14 more Swedish cities, plus Bucharest. Adding a Swedish town is quick because the national data covers the whole country. Tell us where you want to open.

Does this replace going to see the place?

No. It tells you which handful of places are worth your Saturday and what to look for when you get there. Some things you only learn in person: the state of the unit, the landlord, and what the street feels like at 8 in the morning.

How does Plus suggest places?

Every place you save has a score for each thing we measure. When your saved places keep doing well on the same things, say transit and lots of offices nearby, Locerna gives those more weight and finds places you haven't saved that do well on them too. Each suggestion tells you which of your saved places it's like and why.

What happens after the free trial?

Plus is free for 14 days and we don't ask for a card. When the trial ends, your notebook stays readable. You just can't add to it until you subscribe. We don't delete anything.

What do you do with my data?

Plus accounts will be stored in the EU, and only you will be able to read your notebook. We don't sell data. You'll be able to export everything or delete your account from the settings at any time.

Plus opens soon.

Leave your email and we'll tell you when the notebook is ready. Your first 14 days are free either way.
